Hi Richard - thanks for your comments. Your guess on the last comment is correct. I could not possibly rank the Cathedrals - they are all very different with unique elements.

I have today, (18/7/11) just completed seeing ALL of the Anglican Cathedrals. Unlike you I have not taken such fantastic photographs, I am sure you are very proud of your work.
I am very interested in the last four comments in your list, I imagine the last is OXFORD! I would be very interested in knowing if you ranked the
cathedrals in, say, order of most impressive buildings.
Best Wishes

Thank you Richard for this information. I was aware of the status of the Isle of Man but somewhat confused by Peel Cathedral being the 43rd cathedral of the Church of England. I have made some adjustments to the text.

As Communications Officer (and former Warden) for St.German's Cathedral, Peel, Isle of Man, I should like to thank you, Len, for your generous comments.

Whilst our Cathedral is the most recently hallowed of Church of England Cathedrals, Peel is not in England. The Isle of Man is a self-governing Crown Dependency and has no representation in the Westminster Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Our Head of State is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in her capacity of Lord of Mann. Our parliament is Tynwald which celebrated its millennium in 1979 - it is the grandmother of all parliaments!

Hi Boet,

Well done, that must feel really great, are you still counted as an amateur photographer now or a professional. I just think you are so good, so proud of you.
Love you lots

[...] In April a ‘skulk’ of four fox pups and their parents appeared in a den in woodlands not far from my home on the North Downs in Surrey. I came across them by accident on a walk with my Labrador pup – there in a field were a frolic of pups playing in the sun who scampered when they saw us but then could not resist peeking back at us. I took Toffee dog home and returned with my camera to start a series of watches which were each about 3 – 4 hours long – I did eight or nine watches over a period of 2 weeks and captured a great set of images. These images won the “Editor’s Choice” award in Amateur Photographer Magazine – see the Blog entry.
