Gorongosa National Park in Central Mozambique provides an excellent opportunity for wildlife photography including a wide range of bird species, animals and insects.
One of the great things about Gorongosa is that it is so unspoiled. Certainly when I was last there at the end of 2008, whilst it was very comfortable, it did not have the feel of a slick, expensive tourist attraction. The main emphasis is restoration, conservation and the productive engagement of local communities with the tourist aspect providing useful financial resources.
